The trail, which is 1.6 miles (round-trip) in length, starts in the undeveloped portion of the park south of the lower parking lot. The trail travels above the creek and is shaded a portion of the way by Sycamore and Oak Trees. Slopes with grades of up to 10% take the trail into a Walnut Woodlands riparian habitat, where Oak, Walnut, and Sycamore Trees have been planted to create a home for wildlife. The trail of a grade of up to 22% continues to a staircase leading to access at the trail head adjacent to Diamond Bar Boulevard. The trail also includes a par course ten exercise stations located on the mesa overlooking the canyon.
